Analysis

The tale of the greedy Ogre Bully provides some valuable life lessons in character values. Instead of giving up and submitting to the Ogre, the farmer and his wife stand up to the bully. He and his wife must dig deep to find the courage and resourcefulness to outwit the greedy Ogre. In life, we are faced with many challenges that may seem very intimidating at first. The folktale teaches the valuable lesson of standing up and facing those challenges head on, to persevere and take responsibility regardless of how intimidating the situation might be.
